In “Practical Skills in Prospect Research,” attendees will learn about the importance of prospect research and its crucial role in the grant writing process. They will gain practical tips on mining the 990, the different funder databases, and how prospect research can not only be a time saver, but help you win grants. During the session, we will conduct an actual real-time search, and learn what to look for in a great funder match. Learning objectives: 1) Development professionals will learn the value of prospect research as a necessary step in successful grant seeking 2) The session will give development professionals a methodology to identify, analyze, and evaluate funding sources effectively for more effective grant seeking 3) Participants will gain hands-on experience in prospect research 4) Participants will learn what different search databases offer, and the value of each EVENT DETAILS Lunch is provided.
