Just like in Alternativ's teachings all over the world, we'll be getting together to use our skills and uniqueness to create beauty, fun, and function! Need a new pot to brighten up your patio for Spring? How about a wood coaster or board to liven up your living room? Come join us for our for our Brews and Brushes - An "Alternativ" Art DIY Workshop event at the American Legion in Colorado Springs, in partnership with Amanda Foltz of "Sip and Craft". You'll have your choice of DIY crafts to work on throughout the evening, complete with step-by-step instructions and assistants who will help you create your art... all while you enjoy a cold beverage (or two) and great company! And while you're creating, chatting, and consuming... you'll learn all about Alternativ's work and goals for our girls and aspring entrepreneurs in Uganda! All of our proceeds from the night will go towards our May, 2023 business training in Africa, where we'll be bringing new curriculum and support to our network and local partners on the ground in Kampala! We'll be working with our graduates, girls previously expelled from their homes (sadly.. often due to rape, child pregnancy, and other forms of assault) who, with the help of our curriculum and local mentors, acquired skills and confidence to start their own businesses and build opportunity in their lives!
