Elizabeth Allen BerryFuture Makers LV to teach "Zines 4 Youth", A workshop series for students to create zines that empower their small business and add to their marketing through storytelling and self-publishing. Zines are DIY hand made books that are easily replicated and have a high profit margin. They are an inspiring way for youth to monetize on their art and become self-published authors! This workshop series will be held inside of The Gather House from 2:30-4:00pm. This is A four week workshop series and it aims to get students, ages 7-14, from never making a zine to Author Extraordinaire. Through Future makers, students will also have the opportunity to sell their zines at markets! Elizabeth is a spoken word poet and the founder of Cosmic Q Publishing. Since the beginning of 2022 she has self published over 20 Zines! Each workshop will be an hour and a half long. Feel free to bring any art or poetry that you are inspired to work with. No prior experience is necessary. These student workshops are free and open to the public thanks to a local literary non-profit, Poetry Promise inc. Class size is limited to 10 people.
