Preparation for the Project 51O season begins now! Come tryout at the current Oakland Roots Training Facility (formerly the Oakland Raiders Training Facility) and play on the top grass fields in Northern California. FAQs: Can guests watch from the sidelines or enter the facility? Guests are not allowed in facility or field area to watch tryouts. Guests can stay in the parking lot during event. Are there minimum age requirements? Open to males ages 16 and over. The tryout is for U-23s. What should I bring to the tryout? Players must come prepared with their own cleats, socks, gloves (goalkeepers), shin guards or any other equipment related to their position. Black shorts and white shirts are required. What do I need to check-in at the tryout? Please bring an ID (driver license, passport, etc.) plus confirmation of registration (email receipt, printed ticket or mobile ticket). What if it rains? Tryouts will take place rain or shine. Does the club cover any tryout costs? Players are responsible for their own travel costs and transportation. As part of our commitment to making soccer accessible to the community we are offering a fee waiver for anyone expressing financial hardship or reason for needing a fee waiver/discount.
