Music Over Melancholy: A Mental Health Benefit Concert

According to the National Institute of Health, almost 50% of adolescents have experienced a mental health illness, and yet the subject still remains largely taboo in our society. As part of their Senior capstone project, a group of seniors have planned a concert on Thursday, March 30th at 6pm to shine a light on mental health and to raise money for the California chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. The concert will be a mix of musical performances, an art show, and small talks where students will share their experiences with mental health struggles. It will be an evening of fun and beautiful performances and also a chance to come together and learn more about an important subject.
