On Friday, March 17, 2023, The Benicia Middle School PTO will present its Annual􀀠Innovative Grants Fundraiser. The funds raised through this event will directly support BMS’ Innovative Grants Program where teachers are encouraged to put their creativity, ingenuity and ideas for “out-of-the-box” teaching into action. Through a granting process of up to $1,000 per recipient, BMS teachers are able to cultivate current, front-line learning environments where students are excited to learn and have access to tools and opportunities that keep them engaged. By reducing or removing the funding barriers of these innovative projects, the Innovative Grants program ensures BMS students have access to the best learning experience possible. Honoring St. Patrick's day, the event, Shamrocks & Shenanigans, will feature live entertainment, an Irish-themed menu and a host of fun, engaging activities that will support our fundraising goals. Last year’s hugely successful event was able to generate funds that more than doubled the Innovative Grant opportunities in years past. We are hoping to rally our small community to continue this tradition in support of our teachers and students. Of course, this event could not be possible without the generous support of our community and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking sponsorship contributions that will support this venture.
