This course is ideal for beginner and intermediate artists. It breaks down the process and structure of creating a painting from start to finish while learning the best supplies, mediums, techniques, cleaners, and how to set up your space. You will learn to paint in layers using underpainting, glazing, brushwork, and paint application. Additionally, students will learn how to mix any desired hue with the least amount of paint and how chroma, color, and values work. Students should bring a photo of a still life, portrait, or landscape to work from. Photos should be simple, not overly complicated. Unwind and get inspired by our supportive instructor, with over thirty years of experience in fine art, John Danks, by receiving one-on-one expert painting instruction customized to your needs and goals. After taking this course, you will be on your way to oil painting from life using various subjects and palettes. Penelope Fox Art Studio will supply a practice panel canvas and a canvas for the project. Students need to bring the following.
