Trans Day of Visibility is an annual awareness day celebrated around the world. The day is dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of transgender and gender-nonconforming people while raising awareness of the work that still needs to be done to achieve trans justice. While we recognize our gains as a community this TDOV, we also know there is much more work to be done. Transgender and non-binary people continue to face legislative and executive attacks across the United States as well as an ongoing epidemic of violence against transgender and non-binary people, especially against Black and Brown transgender women. Today, on TDOV, and every day, we celebrate all trans people everywhere while helping others learn more about the trans experience to combat hate, discrimination and misinformation. Join Lancaster Pride at Southern Market Lancaster on March 31, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm for this free family friendly event! Dinner can be purchased from the restaurant inside the Market, at attendees expense. Join us for Board games, table top, and card games to play and listen to stories from our community. Although the event is free, donations are encouraged to support Lancaster Pride. -- About Lancaster Pride Lancaster Pride is a celebration of the progress that the local LGBTQ+ community has made toward achieving visibility, acceptance and equality within Lancaster County.
