March STEM activities:
Scientists (3rd-5th grade group) will be challenged to a classroom Escape Room, where they will need to complete tasks to help Clover the Leprechaun hide his gold! They will follow and unlock clues to gather all the materials needed to construct a new hiding place for Clover's gold! Additional activities will include creating a way to launch the gold into the new hiding place! Children will explore the properties of solids and liquids and discover if Oobleck is a solid or a liquid! *(dependent on completion of the Escape Room, we may not get to all additional activities.)
Our little scientists (kindergarten- 2nd) will participate in a variety of engaging activities that will foster their problem-solving skills by giving them tasks to complete. They will need to help Clover the leprechaun hide his pot of gold! They will need to construct a long rainbow bridge and a penny tower only a magic leprechaun could use. Then they will plan and create a bucket tower to keep his gold safe! We may also have to make a catapult just to get the coins into their new hiding spot! Let's not forget to mention, the possibly of making leprechaun snot to slow down those gold coin hunters! *(leprechaun snot will depend on the completion of the activities)
