WHAT WE OFFER The 1000 Islands International Hoop Fest is back! We bring in teams from the Northeast United States and Canada for one great weekend of basketball. Watch the ocean ships from the banks of the mighty St. Lawrence River or take a boat cruise to beautiful Boldt Castle. Try a fishing charter on Great Lake Ontario connected to the largest fresh water bay in the World. Not a water fan? No problem. The Thousand Islands region is home to several majestic New York State parks and wineries and 45 minutes from Adirondack Park-- home to Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid (site of the 1980 Winter Olympic Games Miracle on Ice). We are 20 minutes from the US/Canada border right off Interstate 81. The drive here is simple. Northbound I-81 from Syracuse and Southbound I-81 from Kingston Ontario. WHO WE ARE Victory Athletics is a first class 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that has provided opportunities for girls and boys in our community, state, and Canada to play the game of basketball for over 12 years. We are located in Watertown, NY. EVENT DETAILS -Jefferson Community College and General Brown High School -$395 per Team -Boys and Girls -Grade levels are based on 2022-2023 school year -5th/6th Grade (can be 7th grade but no older than 12 on August 31, 2023) -7th/8th Grade (can be 9th grade but no older than 14 on August 31, 2023) -9th/10th Grade (can be 11th grade but no older than 16 on August 31, 2023) -19U (can be no older than 19 on August 31, 2023) -A and B Levels (explained in registration) -Maximum 8 teams per division -Hardwood Courts (no synthetic materials) -3+ Games: Two (2) 18-minute halves per game. Game times are 1-hour blocks. -Board Certified Officials (no volunteers) -Games start at 4PM on Friday. Last games finish by 5 PM on Sunday. -Pay On-line OR text 3157787165 for Pay By Check or Venmo. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MONDAY JUNE 26TH. Payment must be received by Monday June 26th to be included in the schedule. -New York State High School Basketball Rules with restrictions to promote player development and respect for the game of basketball. We offer competitive basketball in a safe, learning and fun environment. There will be zero tolerance for participants (players, coaches, and fans) who attempt to make a travesty of our event. Please leave your ego at home. -Site supervisor at all locations and all officials are board certified (no volunteers).
