We will write Love poems ! Free style is welcome of course but those who want to challenge themselves could try classics like the iambic pentameter sonnet or the haiku. This is a must have theme, and today is when we finally do it ! The best poems will gain eternal acclaim and probably end up on the yet to be created website for this meetup. Some people are intimidated by writing poetry but the truth is that you can be goofy, you can be funny, you can write long sentences and do whatever you feel like doing. This is an enjoyable game and there is no pressure to perform. Thanks to your help we have already improved the format of the event.
We will have : 1. Anyone can read a poem. Either published or your own. You can discuss any changes you may have made to the first draft. You may talk about what the poem inspires in you. 2. Forced timer, spur-of-the-moment, stream of consciousness writing to unblock the inhibitions. 3. Prompt + we all write a poem and then we read it to others and analyze the results. Bring a notepad and a pen, please.
Atlas, the resident poet dog will raise the moods, as well as the snacks and drinks that we will have. I need to charge a small 5$ fee for that.
