Combing their individual tastes, the group serves up a style of their own with nods to 60s garage rock, 70s glam, a lil 50s doo-wop at times, some blues, & so much more. This band has a raw approach to performance; brash to some but refreshing to all the right ears. A night spent with The Knee Hi’s is one that will be impossible to forget as the performance gives a proper soul shining from the grime of reality. These friends seem to bring something charming to the table with their DIY approach to everything right down to their own merch which is designed by the members and screen printed by one of the girls. The four-piece is woven together with Devyn Crimson on bass, Alice Strider on lead guitar, and sisters Chris Luck on drums, with Ash on rhythm guitar. The group is currently cooking up their second album, “Razzle Dazzle”, to be released independently in the summer of ‘23. Fans can get a taste of what’s to come with their single ‘Beauty Queen’ coming to Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, and YouTube on 1•11•23. All four are planning for a hot summer of shows ahead which will be kicked off by touring their upcoming album along the east coast; keep a look out for dates to be posted! For not knowing how to play their instruments prior to 2019 when they decided to chase their dreams & start a band, these four have hit the ground running; capturing the eyes, ears, and hearts of many music lovers. Early 2022, the group released their debut album, “Charmed” which can be streamed on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube. Their second single “Action!” was played on the Sirius XM radio station, Little Steven’s Underground Garage by Rodney Bingenheimer, THE KING OF THE SUNSET STRIP. While their first single, “Darlin’ Darlin’ “, currently has over one million streams! The band also debuted their third single on the musical showcase television show, “Now Dig This” , and performed a VOX Mini session before gearing up to release their first album independently under their own publishing company. The group has been mentioned in a few right ups such as their feature in American Songwriter. They have been described as “cosmic nostalgia for the soul”, “Junkshop glam”, and “electric & eclectic”. One thing is for sure, you have to see it to believe it! Brought together by the hands of fate, stuck together by a passion for music. Accidents Never Happen, Blondie said it! If you look up, you might just see it’s written in the stars; The Knee Hi’s.
