Thanks to the financial support of the Santa Barbara Foundation, a collaboration effort between the Santa Barbara Public Library, Santa Barbara County Workforce Development Board (SBCWDB), America's Job Center of California (AJCC), Downtown Santa Barbara (DSB), Visit Santa Barbara (VSB), and the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce (SBSCC)is made possible to provide assistance for employers to attract potential candidates! Last September, we had 225 registered job seekers totalling about 700 foot traffic and bicyclists come through the event. Through this joint effort, workshops will be available throughout the week and around Santa Barbara as well as on the day of at the America's Job Center of California (AJCC) location prior to the Job Fair to provide assistance to job seekers and prepare their meeting with you at the job fair. We are expanding to offer 125 businesses to have a table for what we planned to take up the entire 700 and 800 blocks of State Street. In addition, we also invite downtown businesses in the 400-1300 blocks to participate and accepting walk-in applicants into their businesses. Many businesses who weren't officially participatig last year, were approached by interested applicants. You will be included on the map as well as easily identifying your participation with a balloon or signage at your storefront. Register by Wednesday, April 5 to help us promote this FREE event. With all the visibility and success from last September's event, we expect space be secured quick. Registration is based on a first come, first served basis. Please note that no electricity or WiFi will be provided during the event. Also, no selling of merchandise is permitted during this event. We also encourage you to bring your own tablecloth and you are welcomed to bring your own pop-up tent. PLEASE REGISTER for the CORRECT OPTION - Employer needing a table on State Street OR a Downtown Employer who will welcome job seekers to their place of business.
