Description

This event welcomes anyone who is interested in learning about safety in the outdoors. The evening will roll out as follows: 5pm-6pm- social hour/networking with programs that support local outdoor recreation. 6pm-8pm- guided wilderness medicine stations including: bleeding control, orthopedic injuries/splinting, first aid kit design, anaphylaxis control, and taking care of cuts and burns. 8pm-9pm- door prizes, thank you's, and wrap up. Thanks to our community partners including Waypoint Outfitters, Boonshine, and Wake Forest Wilderness Medicine Society for helping this event to happen. This is event is FREE to attend. Any food or beverage purchase is at the cost of the attendee. We will set up in the grassy area by the covered picnic tables.
