Wheelchair- bound and individuals with other disabilities find it hard to take care of a garden. Accessible gardens such as raised beds offer a chance for these individuals to still grow vegetables and enjoy gardening. Join Alan Wagner as he explains how he built an ADA compliant raised bed. He will go through all the parameters on how high to build the bed, what dimensions of the bed, and what materials he used. In general, all the significant points. This program will be held outside in the Vegetable part of The Learning Garden where the ADA compliant raised bed will be located. We will meet indoors first and then go outside.
