Description

Elmbrook Parent Network will host "Promoting Mental Health and Resilience in Youth," with Dr. Matthew Jandrisevits, Ph.D., on Tuesday, March 14th at 7pm in the Brookfield East Excellence Center. Join us to learn proactive preventative strategies to maximize youth mental health and techniques to address mental health concerns. In this program, we will discuss proactive/preventative strategies to maximize youth mental health. We will define general worry/sadness vs anxiety/depression, identify particular techniques to address mental health concerns, and consider when to intervene with referrals to formal mental health providers. We will also review how to navigate the child and adolescent mental healthcare system, and identify resources in our community that promote mental health, well-being, and resilience for children and teens. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dr. Matthew Jandrisevits, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin, a clinical psychologist at Children’s Wisconsin, and an adjunctive clinical faculty member at Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Additionally, in his role within the Wisconsin Child Psychiatry Consultation Program (WI-CPCP), Dr. Jandrisevits provides mental health consultation to primary care providers throughout the state. Beyond his clinical duties, Dr. Jandrisevits enjoys teaching, clinical supervision, research activities, and community outreach.
