Description

David Watts has been performing professionally for over 40 years. He studied composition, education, and performance at the University of the Arts, with post graduate studies in teaching at West Chester University and Endicott College. David spent the early years of his career touring as a singer/pianist, both as a soloist and with his own group throughout the mid-Atlantic and New England area doing both covers and originals. He is known primarily for his original piano compositions, performing covers of Billy Joel, and jazz stylings. He has taught and directed music in Maine for the past 20 years and currently directs the Maine Pops Orchestra, as well as Chandlers Military Band. He also serves as the organist/pianist at the South Freeport Congregational Church. Sarah Hanahan is an up-and-coming jazz saxophonist in New York City. She graduated with her bachelors degree in Jazz Studies from the Jackie Mclean Institute of Jazz within the Hartt School (University of Hartford) in 2019, and completed her Masters Degree at the Juilliard School in the winter of 2022. Recently, Sarah has been working with many renowned musicians and bands including Dee Dee Bridgewater, Nat Reeves, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Ulysses Owens Jr., the Grammy award-winning Mingus Big Band, and many others. Sarah was recently featured in Jazz Night in America’s first-ever class of Youngbloods, hosted by Christian McBride. As described on NPR, the series features “five up-and-coming jazz geniuses who are revolutionizing the genre,” all of whom are under the age of 30.
