Skilled trades, facilities maintenance, and janitorial services are crucial services in the community. Running a business in this industry can be complex and isolating. Center for Community Wealth Building (CCWB) is creating a space specifically for these industries to come together, connect, support one another in growing, and learn about new opportunities. CCWB works to eliminate the racial wealth gap by supporting local People of Color-owned businesses in connecting to new markets and strengthening their business. We also work with congregations and large institutions to shift more of their spending to local, People of Color-owned businesses. Our third primary strategy is to support the formation of worker-owned businesses and community-owned real estate. Join us for our first meeting of BEST (Building with Entrepreneurs in Skilled Trades). Enjoy good food, connecting with others, and creating a space that supports your business goals. This event is free, but please register so we have an accurate headcount for food. If you need child care and/or interpretation services, please register by March 1. This event will be at the Center for Community Wealth Building office near Whittier and Five Points. Parking is available on the street in the surrounding neighborhood.
