The Colony!
Tom Pacheco is a Titan of Song, a melody shaper and creator of melodies and lyrics that rank with the best. During his illustrious career, beginning in 1965 when he was 19, he has written and produced over 19 albums of top-rank songs.
Tom’s fiercely intelligent and finely wrought tunes have been recorded by The Band, Richie Havens, Jefferson Starship, Rick Danko, John Hall, Scott Petito and Leslie Ritter, and dozens of European recording artists.
Tom made The Colony his home base in recent years, performing two sold-out shows a year to great applause.
Tom is a long time resident of Woodstock who now faces a severe but treatable health crisis. He has been recently stricken with a severe clostridium infection, and has in addition suffered several falls at his Woodstock house which injured him enough to require hospitalization. He is currently in a Kingston nursing facility, but the expectation is that he will fully recover. In the meantime, the living expenses for Tom and his wife Annie continue to mount. Hence this “Concert for Tom Pacheco,” which a number of noted performers, songwriter and musicians have joined to raise money to help this American treasure.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help fund Tom's medical expenses, and can be donated to directly here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-tom-pacheco-survive-his-ordeal
