Project: Cityscape Early Childhood Center Architect: Agent Architecture Landscape Architect: Delineator As a part of AD EX’s special Spring Break programming, join us for a tour of the Cityscape Early Childhood Center and explore its transformation from grocery store to school. Built in the 1960s as the original location of the Minyard grocery store chain, Agent Architecture has redesigned this building to serve as a model facility for 3- and 4-year-old students. Inside, it features 10 classrooms with abundant natural light and includes common learning, reading, and activity spaces. The Center's site, formerly a large surface parking lot, has been transformed into a large outdoor play and learning environment. Led by Andrew Barnes, AIA and Sara Barnes, RID, the tour showcases how the project brings new life and activity to a formerly disused corner of its historic East Dallas neighborhood and aims to be a true asset to its community.
