SAFETY: Effective Policing in an Ever-Changing Community Given the safety challenges in the City and surrounding south side communities, this session is designed to discuss initiatives and strategies for effective policing in an ever-changing community. What are the strategies being used by Chicago Police Department (CPD) for effective policing? The University of Chicago Police Department’s (UCPD) coverage extends to 64th Street, what is their involvement to assist CPD? This will also be an opportunity for CPD and UCPD to share their strategies to keep the community safe during the summer season and beyond.
