Happy Hour starts at 5:30, live Auction starts at 7 PM. First 100 to show up are guaranteed 2 beverage tickets! This event features a live auction for friends to bid individually, or, together, on the 16 teams remaining in the men’s college basketball tournament. Your team wins one of the five prize winning categories—YOU win a loaded prize basket! Enjoy a fun night supporting Make-A-Wish and making wishes come true! SWISHES FOR WISHES AUCTIONS RULES and DETAILS The auction will commence as a “calcutta” auction. The auctioneer will open the auction for bidding.Each basketball team still competing in the NCAA’s March Madness men’s basketball tournament as of the date of the Swishes for Wishes event will be announced before each individual auction commences. The auctioneer will then open up the floor for bidding on a particular collegiate basketball team. In response to the auctioneer, participants will bid among themselves to “claim” a team.When the auctioneer stops receiving interest (at the auctioneer’s sole discretion) such collegiate basketball team is deemed to be “sold” to the highest bidder [and the collegiate basketball team will be marked as “sold”]. Once proclaimed “sold,” the collegiate basketball team is out of play.Steps 3 and 4 shall be repeated until there are no further collegiate basketball teams up for auction.The live auction will start promptly at 7PM. Distribution of prize baskets will occur AFTER the final tournament game. All proceeds will be paid immediately after purchase via donation directly to the Make-A-Wish “Swishes for Wishes” Wish Your Way fundraising website.If a collegiate basketball team withdraws or is disqualified during the tournament, bidders are automatically disqualified from winning.Teams may have no more than 6 individuals and no less than 1 individual.Teams will not receive any cash payout. Teams will then be given the opportunity to choose a prize basket based on the winning pick order.Prize winning categories, in order. 1 = first pick of baskets, and so on. 1) Tournament Champion 2) Tournament Runner Up 3) Team that scores the most points in a single game 4) Team that scores the least points in a single game 5) Wild Card - Random Drawing Venue Details This venue is located downtown, and free parking will be limited. There is a large amount of paid parking behind, and on the side, of the venue, facilitated by parking.com. Cost is approx $10 per vehicle for the duration of the event. As always, we encourage ride sharing and carpooling. While we are excited to offer a limited sponsored bar tab for beverages, food will not be provided. Food trucks will be on the premises for purchase. Be advised that venue does contain several levels of stairs but IS wheelchair accessible with ramps and elevators for each level.
