This will be a live, in-person, training at the CERT building behind ACFD Station 31 at 33555 Central Ave in Union City. Learn how to perform traffic control duties from Union City Police Department, an often overlooked skill that is needed at shelter sites, staging areas, and more. This training is for CERT academy graduates. Please bring your green CERT backpack to the event. We will provide any missing items to make sure your backpack is fully stocked. Schedule of events, please be on time: 9:00 – 9:30 AM– Registration and optional backpack inspection9:30 – 10:00 AM – Welcome and Program updates for both Union City & Newark CERT teams 10:00 – 11:45 AM – In-class traffic control and weather/space/time permitting a functional walk through in the open space behind Station 3111:45am – Noon – Sign offs for CERT Task Books and Closing
