The Kern Autism Network, Inc. would like to invite our families and friends to join us at Beach Park on Saturday, April 1st for a drive through Autism Spirit Car Parade and Family Autism Festival. We want to see your Autism Spirit with decorated cars, dressing up in the Autism colors of red-yellow-blue, bringing your posters, signs of Autism and just joining us to celebrate our kids and adults with Autism! So tell your family and friends to sign up and join us and show us their Autism Spirit in Bakersfield. We plan on having quite a celebration with media & community friends joining us to commemorate this special day and month! At Beach Park on Oak Street and 21st we will have FREE admission for Autism families to join us with fun and games as well. Numerous food vendors will be available with goodies to purchase snacks or lunch. Boutique Vendors will have Autism items to sell. Families are allowed to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the day. NOTE: The parade will line up with all cars at Beach Park at 10:00 a.m. with our escort from the California Highway Patrol and proceed in a car line around the park to do 2 laps around the Beach Park Circle to show their decorated cars. After the car parade at Beach Park, we will be ready for the Autism Family Festival with fun and games for the whole family to enjoy. This event is NOT open to the general public. Registration is required!
