Description

The Truth About The Congo Greetings, It doesn't take a genius to know that mainstream culture discourages the connection between people on the continent and people in the diaspora. The fear is of course if Black unity were to happen on a functional level. We would realize together we could shift the world.  The Congo is one of the countries that generally is under our radar and yet as the most minerally rich country in Africa and maybe the world, one could see the possibilities of a real connection to the congo. Years ago during my travels I ran into a sister as I was coming down the Blue Mountains of Jamaica who was very intentional about connecting with the diaspora. She lives in the Congo and values the exchange to such a degree that she acts as a cultural ambassador of sorts to train the diaspora how  to connect with The Congo, culturally, through travel, investment and work exchange. She has invited me to let the community know that she is in Atlanta looking for talented people open to various types of exchanges. Specifically she is looking for people with the following skillsets: Agriculture agronomist Transformation Packaging Organic agriculture - use of organic fertilizers Alternative Energy Fund management - African American banks willing to fund projects in Africa  Computer science / artificial intelligence Army vet Art management - studio material - cinema production - create central African content Enviromental experts. Deforestation through intensive use of charcoal - alternatives  Service sector Engineers: Industrial - Electrical - Agro Or maybe you are simply interested in connecting. In that regard if you are interested you are being invited to a special event this Sunday March 5 at 1pm at The Blackdot Cultural Center and Bookstore 6984 Main St Lithonia Ga Cost $10
