This is a 3 class course taking place on April 12th, April 19th, April 26th. Skill level: Beginner Prerequisite skills: None Ever wanted to learn how to crochet but didn’t know how to start? Join us for this class on basic crocheting techniques! This 3 part class will cover the basic fundamentals of crochet. You will learn the 4 basic stitches of crochet & then you will use the stitches you learn to make a scarf. Only 6 places! Students will: • Learn chain stitch, slip, single, half double, double and treble crochet stitches and how they vary from one another; • Learn terminology and abbreviations used in patterns, and how to read basic crochet patterns; • Learn how to finish and block a finished project • Learn how to read a yarn label for necessary information; All crochet materials will be provided by Rightfully Sewn Academy and its donors in order to promote and encourage a sustainable future in the fashion industry. A supplies list will be provided for students to bring their own supplies to class, if desired. Class is taught by Cana Cox-Johnson.
