Description

EDC 101 Every Day Carry Essentials When people think of Every Day Carrying, they typically think of carrying a firearm. While this is great if you are properly trained and know how to properly handle a firearm, this isn’t practical for everyone or every day. What if you needed to bandage a wound? What if you needed to tie something down and secure it? The “What If” questions never end. In this crash course on Every Day Carry, we will discuss: stigma around carrying, why should you carry, what you currently carry, necessities to carry, when to carry, how to carry and more. We will also have a hand on learning experience to practice what we talk about in the course. This 2-hour course will be packed full of information, so come ready and PREPARED to learn. All 101 courses are stand-alone courses but do compile to help you be prepared for life. INSTRUCTOR: Matt Tholen is a local Kansas City native. He spent the early years of his life in Boy Scouts of America, where he received the highest rank of Eagle Scout. He continued the training he received through scouting and assisted FEMA with disaster relief work in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Matt continued down the path of helping others in need and became an Emergency Medical Technician. He spent the next decade serving the Kansas City community through his work as an EMT. While working on the ambulance, he saw and treated over 18,000 patients experiencing some of the worst parts of their lives. During this time, Matt continued his education and expanded his skill sets to help a broad range of people. He has since spent the past decade sharing his skill and knowledge with others and has become a published blog writer for prepping skills, equipment reviews, and proper mindset. Every year he adds new skills to his practice and has an ongoing desire to share them with others. Matt’s ultimate goal is to help Kansas City area residents and beyond in becoming self-reliant and ready in the event of any emergency.
