Take a stroll around Polk's Nature Discovery Center and investigate the marsh that surrounds it. What is a marsh? A marsh is a wetland habitat characterized by seasonal flooding and open spaces. Marshes serve as places of high biodiversity, rest and refuge for wildlife, and even play a role in cleaning our water! About this Nature Fun-Day: For this Nature Fun-Day, will be"Marsh Madness" as we investigate all the wild plants and animals that call the marsh home. Booths will be set up all around the center with crafts, activities, and educational material, and more! Date & Time : Wednesday, March 15th, 9:30am-12:00pm Location: The flexi-pave trail leading out from the Discovery Center. Around the picnic pavilions. See map below. (If rain is forecasted the morning of the event, stations will be move into the Nature Center.) Tickets & Sign-Ups: No sign-up required, but is highly recommended to help for planning purposes.
