As Arab American women, we face unique stressors and challenges in our communities. Many of us are balancing work, young children, and a busy family life full of expectations and demands. Sometimes navigating our culture alone can be enough to throw us over the edge. With all of these things combined, it’s no wonder that many of us feel more stressed than ever before.
But something really powerful happens when women gather to support each other. When we leave judgment at the door, open up, and share our struggles, we realize we’re not alone. We deserve to put it all down for a night. To come together, take care of ourselves, and lean on each other.
If any of this resonates with you, I would be so honored if you joined me for a night of community and connection. We’ll do some inner-child exercises designed to connect to the energy of joy and fun (which can be so healing!). We will honor the women in our families who came before us. We will set some intentions for the full moon and I will go through an overview of how to sync with the moon cycles to create positive growth in your life. Observing the lunar calendar is another way to connect with our roots. And of course, we will end with a guided group meditation featuring healing sound bowls.
I hope to see you there! Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Light snacks will be provided. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to sit on for the meditation.
This event is open to anyone with any connections to womanhood: trans and non-binary inclusive. Non-Arabs are also welcome to join us :)
