Who: WYT PPL 4 CHANGE & the MoCo NAACP are coming together with a goal of providing a sense of relief and education all while building and strengthening our community bond right here in Montgomery County, we will be showing the expansion of The 1619 Project Limited Docu-series on HULU, so Let’s Talk! Why: In 2019, The New York Times Magazine published a series called "The 1619 Project" to mark the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first known enslaved Africans in the British colonies that became the United States. Nikole Hannah-Jones won the Pulitzer Prize for her introductory essay in the project: "America Wasn't a Democracy Until Black Americans Made It One."
