Join us for a candid discussion on how far we have come on making the workplace more inclusive for women and other minorities. We will be joined by a panel of 3 generations of women who will provide us with stories on what the workplace was like when they were working. Adding additional insight will be another panel member with insights on working in the armed forces as a woman. This is going to be a great session and we welcome you to join in! Panelists:Stella Garcia is a retired IT Professional with 30 years of IT work experience. She worked in IT for 21 years before she crossed over to the dark side and became an IT Auditor. She worked in both the private sector and government sector. Stella earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from New Mexico State University in 1984. Jodean Franklin is a veterinarian technician who has been practicing small animal medicine for more than a decade. Over the course of her career, she has worked in a variety of private practices, with a focus on critical and emergency care. She also enjoys strengthening and supporting the human-animal bond in all aspects of veterinary care and has appeared on National Geographic’s Puppy Days television show. Marie Garcia has been focused to develop and empower people and help businesses meet their objectives. To develop and empower people, Marie works with each individual to help them identify the vision they have for their careers, build a career roadmap and prepare for their next steps. Regarding businesses and meeting their objectives, she excels at building cross-functional relationships to help her understand what’s most critical to the business and then leverages her extensive information technology, as well as her internal and external audit experience, to help stakeholders identify enterprise risks and risk responses. Rachael Ridenour is the Chief of Innovation and Product Development at Divergence Academy, a cutting-edge technology training provider that has made the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies List two years in a row. Her passion for innovation lies at the intersection of creatively applied technology, data driven design and cross functional problem solving. A 33-year Army Veteran with service in Afghanistan and Iraq, she is a passionate adventurer and humanitarian who has driven the Khyber Pass, run a 5k in the Pyramids of Giza, and snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef.
