Description

The mountain laurel may be in bloom for this stroll along the river. Our guide will also tell us what is blooming underfoot. This trail has small hills and is generally dry, with views of the river. Directions: Meet at the dam across the Eno River above the West Point Mill. The address is: 5101 Roxboro Rd, Durham, NC 27704. Use the main entrance on the south side of the river from Roxboro Rd, across from Riverview shopping center. This hike will take approximately two hours (sometimes less, sometimes more). Please feel free to bring water and snacks. Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are under your control and on a 6 foot leash. COVID-19 guidelines: As this is an outdoor event, masks and vaccination status are not required to attend. Please practice social distancing to keep yourself and others outside of your group safe and healthy. This event is rain or shine. We will contact you if severe weather is expected that would cause us to cancel the hike.
