When: Saturday, April 8th, 2023, 2pm - 5pm Where: Billy Dunlop Park, 1930 E Boy Scout Rd, Clarksville, TN 37040 The event will be held under the pavilion. What: Come out and pick up a rain barrel for just $45.00 (plus the Eventbrite fee )! These barrels are refurbished 55 gallon barrels sourced from Thistle Farms in Nashville, TN. Barrels come fitted with a hose bib, an overflow valve, an opening in the top, and a mesh screen to filter out leaves and other debris. Pickup starts at 2:00pm, and staff will be on site to discuss rain barrel tips, tricks, benefits, and additional questions you may have. Staff will remain until 5:00pm to accommodate late pickup. Rain barrels are great for capturing rain water from your roof to use in your garden! This soft water is great for your plants , and using a rain barrel can reduce your domestic water consumption (and hopefully your water bill). An additional benefit of capturing rainwater is the reduction of urban stormwater runoff that can carry contaminants into our local streams and rivers.
