Get an insider's view of the Girl Gang Garage in all its glory! You'll be greeted by the friendly metal dog-sculpture that is your first hint that the work done behind these doors involves a lot more than your usual car repairs. Bogi Lateiner has created a welcoming space for custom car-rebuild projects which serve two much broader purposes: create opportunities for women to try hands-on automotive tools at no cost (with any level of experience from newbie to expert), and be a catalyst for gender diversity in the male-dominated automotive industry. The experiences promote new career options and improve personal confidence in car ownership. Along the way, her bodacious projects (most recently the Iron Maven) have launched Girl Gang Garage into the worlds of 3D scanning, CAD-software modeling and 3D printing, allowing the team to merge old parts with new, and solve problems for which no hardware solutions existed. Come tour Girl Gang Garage, see examples of the unique components that were designed and 3D printed using a combination of Autodesk software, ZEISS scanners and Stratasys printers. Learn about Bogi's range of hands-on learning programs and ask her about her career, her favorite tools, her TV show and her passion to empower women as car-owners and experts.
