Catapult Greater Pittsburgh is a nonprofit organization that engages in emergency resource distribution, peer-to-peer support, wealth building, trauma-informed financial counseling, and policy advocacy to ensure systematically disenfranchised communities can meaningfully achieve economic justice and lead dignified and equitable lives. We understand that one way to build generational wealth is through homeownership. We also recognize that closing costs and down payments are often a barrier to homeownership for low-moderate income Black families. In our efforts to help close the racial homeownership gap, we launched the "Next Step Fund" which offers closing cost & down payment assistance to our program participants. This event is a way for us to to raise money for the fund and continue to address the racial homeownership gap in Allegheny County.
