ABOUT THE BOOK Brave Histories & Hopeful Futures: Voices of a Refugee Community was written through a collaboration between Refugee Hope Partners and NC State University’s Literacy and Community Initiative. In this book students explore ideas relating to identity, experience, community, and change. Through poetry, prose, narratives, and letters, they capture their brave histories and hopeful futures. Portions of this book detail experiences of escaping dangerous countries, reflect on what it means to belong, and call for action against inequity.
