City2Beach Clean Up Honoring Officer Gabriel Torres This clean up will begin at 9AM at Fitbliss Nutrition (104 Charlie Merlin Drive, Surf City NC 28445). Come early and purchase a Mega Tea to fuel up for this walk and for every purchase a donation will be made towards the Torres Family! We will cross the Surf City Bridge in honor of our fallen hero, then make our way to the beach for a clean up. This will be about a two mile walk that will end under the Surf City Pier (112 S. Shore Drive, Surf City NC 28445) to bag up the collected litter at 11AM. Stay until the end, FitBliss Nutrition is going to supply items to recharge your energy for the walk back. Buzzfish Clothing will be selling shirts on their website prior to the event for those who would like to purchase one, while supplies last.(https://www.buzzfishclothing.com) We suggest to those who do not wish to walk back to FitBliss after the clean up, to leave a vehicle at Soundside Park (517 Roland Ave). Town Hall is aware of this event and encourage people to utilize the free parking at Soundside Park. Surviving spouse, Jasmin Torres, enjoys protecting the environment and attending beach clean ups every chance she gets. Please come out and help us honor Gabriel Torres. It is suggested to wear comfy shoes, bringing a reusable water bottle, and reusable gloves if you prefer to wear them (environmental friendly).
