Welcome to the first stop of the Melanated Yoga Pop-up Tour!!! Come join BLK Directory Inc. and yoga teacher, Jenna Walker on Mar 11th for our yoga event. Here we will give black people a space to: Network and build community Release stress, tension, and anxietyCreate habits of health and wellnessYou will have an opportunity to start your journey to feeling more stress-free. This will be an opportunity that you don’t want to miss! So grab your yoga mat and meet us at 420 Hubert Street, second floor Suite 8 Raleigh, NC 27603. There is free street parking right in front of the building. Other things you should know: Water will be provided along with light refreshmentsEveryone will receive a giveaway bag We will be highlighting black business vendors at this event #buyblack #supportblackownedbusinessSession Details The session will be beginner-friendly and all levels are welcome. This class is a 45 min-1hr practice to help set the foundation for consistent yoga practice and then a 30-min mixer to follow. First, we will practice breathing techniques to help ease the mind and calm the body. Our flow will focus on building strength, flexibility, and awareness with some foundation yoga poses. This class is great for beginners and anyone wanting to practice mindful movement. This event is for adult men + women 21+. Learn more about BLK Directory COVID PROTOCOLS: Masks are not required and are a personal choice. Please check yourself for symptoms of any sickness before coming to class. Black women carry so much anxiety and stress on a daily basis. It felt great to create a safe space for us to be us and release what we came in with.
