Registration: In an effort to provide quality hikes in an intimate, low-impact manner we are requiring registration ahead of time via Eventbrite. Please reserve your free ticket here. If no tickets are available please wait until our next hike to join us. ABOUT THE HIKE: This week we will be hiking a loop through a variety of trails at Latta Nature Preserve, including Wash rocks and Buzzard rock. The loop will be about 5 miles, going through peaceful woods and along Mountain Island Lake. This trail is on natural terrain and can be rocky and rooty in some places, with minimal elevation change. Hikers to meet at 10AM in the overflow parking lot behind the Nature Center. This will be the second parking area to your right as you drive in on Sample Rd. Look for our Blue Blaze banner/flag to find us! After the hike, we will enjoy a refreshing Blue Blaze brew back at our taproom. A local food truck should will be on-site to satisfy your hiker's hunger! All participants can partake in a free raffle for some awesome Blue Blaze goodies. Feel free to use this event page to coordinate carpool! Folks of all ages and most skill levels are welcome to join us. Leashed dogs can come along too but please be mindful of the hot weather.
