This two-day direct examination of experts program will work with lawyers of all skills levels to learn: preparing your expert for direct examinationhelping your expert understand your trial storybuilding a good direct examinationexecuting a direct examination that lets your expert shine dealing with objections understanding the rules around expert testimony This program is being offered at the Hyatt Place Detroit Livonia on Saturday, March 4, 2023 and Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 9:00am to 6:00pm each day. Participants will earn 16 hours of CLE credit for participation in the full program, and the program will satisfy the skills training requirements of Standard 1. You must attend the entire program in order to receive CLE credits. To be eligible for participation in the program, you must be a licensed attorney representing indigent defendants within the State of Michigan, or an employee of a public defender office awaiting bar results. You must plan to participate in the entire two-day program.  This program is limited to 18 participants. A wait-list will be compiled once the program is full.  This free program is made possible by the generous Byrne JAG grant awarded to the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission, JAG-72458-Michigan Indigent Defense Commission-2023.
