Come join Thelma Heidel-Baker of Bossie Cow Farm as she discusses the importance of HOW your meat was raised, and the importance of pasture-based farming for the benefit of ourselves, our health, the animals, and our natural resources. Thelma Heidel-Baker is the co-farmer/owner of Bossie Cow Farm, her family’s diversified organic dairy farm near Random Lake, WI. She is a staunch advocate for supporting local foods and farmers. Thelma has a wealth of science & research experience working in sustainable agriculture and conservation, and she currently works as a conservation planner for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. Supported by GrassWorks Inc providing education to farmers and consumers for the advancement of managed grass-based agriculture to benefit present and future generations and by a gift from The Brico Fund.
