March is Social Work Month! NASW ME is hosting a free day at the Maine State House in Augusta on March 23rd for Social Workers and Students to come learn about the legislative process, meet your legislators, and learn about lobbying. The agenda for the day begins at 8:30am. 8:30am – Registration and packet pick up (Cross Café Conference Room) 9:00am – Lobbying 101 with Moose Ridge Associates (Cross Café Conference Room) 9:45am – Make way to House floor for SW Month proclamation10:00am – House/Senate gallery for observation12:00pm – Legislative Luncheon (Cross Café Conference Room) 1:00pm on – Afternoon committees, hearings, and meet-and-greets with local legislators (set up by attendees)For questions regarding this event, reach out to Chris at [email protected] We hope to see you there!
