Some current project:
Tree Planting - 20-40 trees will be planted at the District 5450 Day of Service on 30 April, costing $5000 (20 trees) or $10,000 (40 trees). Ukrainian Support - RC-DMH has contributed to Evergreen's blanket grant, and currently is raising money to provide large generators for multifamily housing (Odesa Rotary Club partner)Project Worthmore - RC-DMH volunteers pack and deliver fresh food to refugee families several times per month. This is a hands-on project, but RC-DMH has also provided a $12,000 grant to Project Worthmore for food purchases.Village Exchange Center - RC-DMH volunteers pack food several times per month for recipients registered with the Village Exchange Center.Metro Caring Food Repacking - During the height of the COVID pandemic, several RC-DMH volunteers broke down 50 lb bags of food staples into smaller (1-2 lb) packages for distribution by Metro Caring.Scholarships - RC-DMH currently sponsors two students, $2000 each, who are the first in their families to attend college.
