The Ballard Center’s Social Innovator of the Year Award is given out annually and recognizes an exceptional individual who is committed to finding and participating in innovative solutions to social problems. The 2023 Social Innovator of the Year will be awarded to Joseph Grenny & Tim Stay - creators of the Other Side Village.
The Other Side Village is a master-planned neighborhood that provides affordable, permanent quality housing for people coming out of chronic homelessness. It was founded by the team from The Other Side Academy and it shares the core governing philosophy that people heal and thrive through community and connection.
