Mariachi Herencia de México has toured throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada performing in some of the most prestigious performing arts centers across the continent, including Washington D.C.’s The Kennedy Center and Guadalajara’s Teatro Degollado. The group has performed alongside major artists like Lila Downs, Aida Cuevas, Los Lobos, Pedro Fernández, Lupita Infante and Camila Cabello. The Ballet Folklorico Tapatio of Northwest Indiana had their inaugral Fiesta Folklorica in March of 2012. They are Porter County's only Ballet Folklorico group and have produced 9 successful events showcasing their dancers who range in age from 3 yrs old and up. Dancers come from all over Northwest Indiana to perform with this youth dance troupe. The group's highlights include performing for civil rights activist and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Dolores Huerta and most recently performing at Disnelyland.
