ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mae Coyiuto is a Chinese Filipino writer, born and raised in the Philippines. Mae earned her BA in psychology from Pomona College and her master’s degree in writing for children and young adults from the New School. If she’s not writing, she’s usually fangirling over Beyoncé, tennis, Gilmore Girls, or all of the above. She currently lives in Manila. ABOUT THE IN-CONVERSATION PARTNER Kristtina Swilling is one of the Lead Organizers for the Filipina Authors Book Club. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Kristtina went to UCLA for biology and her EMT certification. Having worked as a project manager in healthcare, she is passionate about diversity and accessibility in medicine. Kristtina is also an ambassador for the Lupus Foundation of America. You can find her with a double espresso behind a large TBR stack listening to music from the early 2000s while playing cozy games and planning her life in Notion.
