2023 KAST 4 KIDS FISHING TOURNAMENT Hosted by Texas Playboys Inc & Marker 37 MarinaJune 9th | Check-In & Captain’s Meeting @ Marker 37 Marina | 6:00 PM One person from your team must be present at this meeting.June 10th | Fishing 30 Mins Prior to Sunrise | Weigh-In 1-3 PMEARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE: April 30th, 2023$500 Per Team (4 Anglers per team)Late Registration: $600 May 1st – May 19th, 2023Tournament RulesThe tournament is open to all anglers.Official tournament hours are 30 minutes prior to sunrise until 3 PM the day of the tournament, rain or shine.There are NO fishing boundaries.Official weigh-in starts at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 3:00 p. m. the day of the tournament. All anglers must be IN LINE by 3:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONSThere are two Divisions: Guided and Non-Guided STRINGER IS 3 TROUT & 2 REDFISHBuckles for 1st place in the Guided and Non-Guided divisions in each of the following categories: Heaviest Redfish Heaviest Redfish YouthHeaviest Trout Heaviest Trout YouthHeaviest StringerNO OVERSIZED REDFISH OR TROUT WILL BE WEIGHED - TAGGED OR NOTTeams must use only ONE boat for all anglers on the team. Anglers may NOT be dropped off in different locations.In the case of a tie, the winner will be decided by length. If length is equal, the winner will be decided by time with the winner being the first fish weighed in.Someone may assist you in baiting your hook, casting, and netting. It is your job to "set the hook” and reel the fish to the boat.Eligibility:All anglers 17 and older must have a valid Texas fishing license.If the any team member holds Texas Parks and Wildlife Guide Fishing License or advertises/promotes as a Guide the team MUST register under the Guided Division. If it is found that a team fished with a professional guide during the tournament and were not signed up in the Guided Division, the team will be disqualified from the tournament as well as uninvited to future tournaments.All state and federal penal code and game laws shall always apply.All Texas, Coast Guard and State Parks and Wildlife regulations shall always apply.Each angler/team must be a registered entrant of the tournament and must abide by all tournament rules and regulations.Tournament directors retain the right to refuse any entry.Weigh-in/Sportsmanship:All anglers must be IN LINE by 3 p.m.NO OVERSIZED REDFISH OR TROUT WILL BE WEIGHED, TAGGED OR NOT!All fish weighed in and entered must be caught during official tournament hours on the day of the tournament.There will be NO sharing of ice chests at weigh-in.All fish must be weighed-in by the team who originally caught the fish and must be in that team’s physical possession at the time of weigh-in.Sportsmanship, courtesy, safety, and conservation are expected from all entrants.Only the fish to be weighed in are to be in the weigh in area.All game laws of the state of Texas, applicable to fishing on public waters, must be followed. Any violations will be cause for immediate disqualification. All winnings will be forfeited.Any entrant/team found to be in violation of any tournament rules and regulations will be subject to disqualification from this tournament and all future tournaments.ALL DECISIONS MADE BY TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS AND WEIGHMASTER ARE FINAL.After weigh-in if your team does NOT intend on keeping your catch you may ask anyone in the weigh-in area if they would like your catch or your team may place it in the community chest.Calcutta: CASH ONLYEach Team will be auctioned off to the highest bidder in each division – Guided & Non-GuidedEveryone will have an opportunity to bid on any team(s) that is believed to win, including their own team.The winning bidder must pay for their Calcutta purchase(s) after the auction is closed. CASH ONLYCalcutta pot will be split 70/30 between 1st & 2nd place in each division.Calcutta results will consist of the winning teams in the Heaviest Stringer division weigh-in. Side-Pots: CASH ONLYThere are 5 Side-Pot Categories: Teams may enter all side pots. CASH ONLY Most Spots (redfish) - Heaviest Stringer (3 trout & 2 Red) - Heaviest Trout Heaviest Redfish (28-inch max, no Tags) - Trash Fish (Skip Jack/Lady Fish) Side-pots are $100 for each category. Your team must pay into the side-pot you enter to win payout.Pays out to the 1st (70) & 2nd (30) of each side-pot category.In the case of a tie, winner will be decided by length. If length is equal, winner will be decided by time with the winner being the first fish weighed in.Liability & Disclaimer: The Texas Playboys Inc.
