The Process of Architecture with Philip Keil, AIA, Principal, Furman + Keil Architects The architectural design process can be a bit of a mystery to most outside of the profession. This design talk will attempt to shine a light into that black box and show some of the behind-the scenes work that goes into the making of a building: the research; the drawings; the people and relationships; and the trends that have made our profession more complex. Doors open at 6:00pm and lecture begins at dusk. This series showcases Austin’s talented designers, with each installment focusing on an individual practitioner and their unique approach to their work. Design Talks is presented by the Austin Foundation for Architecture in collaboration with AIA Austin.
