This is a 1.6 mile walk through fields, forest, along Moore Creek, and the river so we will see a variety of flowers. Along the way we will visit the Cabe Ford and mix in a little Eno history. This is mostly on trail, but there will be some off trail in open forest and some wet areas in the field so wear appropriate shoes. A walking stick is recommended.
Directions: Meet in the center of the parking circle at the Fews Ford picnic area at the very end of Cole Mill Road in Eno River State Park. The address is 6101 Cole Mill Road in Durham (which will take you to the park office - keep driving on Cole Mill Road to the very end).
This hike will take approximately two hours (sometimes less, sometimes more). Please feel free to bring water and snacks. Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are under your control and on a 6 foot leash.
