Gifted education specialists do it all - identify students, write curriculum, teach classes, provide professional learning to staff, evaluate the gifted program... The purpose of this workshop and networking event is to share lessons/activities/mini-units to be used in gifted classrooms across Missouri. Each attendee will give one and get several! This meeting announcement will be updated with more specific details closer to the event but the basic agenda includes: IcebreakersIntroduction to Portrait of a Gifted Learner and MO Gifted Learner OutcomesLesson SharingLunch (looking into this, but it will be pay your own way)Sharing of program best practices, in small groupsDiscussion of next stepsCriteria for lessons/activities/mini-units: designed for gifted students (any age Pre-K-12)original work, no copyrighted materialscan be focused on any area of STEAM, the humanities, SEL, etc.shared digitally in a Google FolderAdditional information will be provided mid-May.
